Content, diplomacy, and production under one accountable roof.

Since 2013, institutions have handed us the gatherings they cannot afford to get wrong — the summit, the ministerial forum, the flagship conference. We hold the programme, the diplomacy, the logistics, and the production of a convening under one team, from the first conversation to the last delegate leaving.

How we work

We begin with the impact.

Every convening exists for a reason beyond itself. A policy forum is there to move a policy position. An investment summit is there to close the distance between capital and opportunity.

Before we start, we work out what the convening needs to achieve. That purpose becomes the standard everything is measured against.

The question we start with is simple:

What needs to be true when everyone goes home?

Services

There are two ways to work with us.

1.Full-service convening

Hand us the outcome, and we hold everything from the first idea to the last delegate leaving — one team, one line of accountability. This is for the host who wants the gathering to succeed, and wants a single team responsible for making it so.

  • Event strategy & experience design
  • Programming & content
  • Speaker & VIP management
  • Venue & technical production
  • Registration & accreditation
  • Logistics & hospitality
  • Branding & communications
  • Sponsorship & resource mobilisation
  • Security, health & risk

2.Production, technology & operational delivery

Bring us in for the production, the technology, the logistics. We deliver it like a team that understands what the whole convening is for, because we are — which is what makes our part land, not just work. Many of our clients start here.

Case Studies

Every convening here began as something a client needed to achieve. This is what happened.

Commonwealth Business Forum, Kigali

Business & Investment

Commonwealth Business Forum at CHOGM.

Rwanda Convention Bureau · Kigali

The Commonwealth Business Forum runs inside the week of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting — it is where the business of the Commonwealth actually gets done. CHOGM had been postponed twice, Rwanda had invested heavily in hosting it, and the Commonwealth business community had spent two years apart watching trade slow and relationships thin out. This was the first large in-person gathering of Commonwealth governments and businesses since the pandemic began, and Rwanda Development Board asked Cube to fill the room and build a programme worth flying for.

World Bank · African Union Commission · AfDB · FAO · IFAD · WFP

In 2019 the World Bank and its core partners — the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, FAO, IFAD, and the World Food Programme — were convening the first Africa Food Security Leadership Dialogue in Kigali, Rwanda. The event was attended by Heads of State, heads of multilateral institutions and regional economic communities, ministers of agriculture and finance, Nobel laureates and senior scientists. Cube was brought in to deliver it.

Nuclear Energy Innovation Summit For Africa (NEISA)

Rwanda Atomic Energy Board · Kigali Convention Centre

Rwanda Atomic Energy Board came to Cube with a subject almost nobody in the room understood yet. Nuclear energy in Africa is not a crowded field — the expertise is concentrated in a handful of institutions, and the public conversation is still shaped by assumptions that have little to do with the technology now being built. Working with RAEB Chairman Dr. Lassina Zerbo, Cube was asked to convene the people who could move nuclear energy from discussion to deployment on the continent — not a conference about nuclear energy, but a convening designed to change what happens after it.

TIME100 Summit Africa — hosted in Kigali for the first time

TIME100 Summit & Impact Awards Africa

TIME · Kigali Convention Centre

In November 2023 TIME brought the TIME100 franchise to the region for the first time — the inaugural TIME100 Summit Africa by day, and the first TIME100 Impact Awards Africa that evening, both at the Kigali Convention Centre on 17 November. The honourees were people whose work had moved their industries and the continent forward: a former head of state, and figures from film, technology, climate advocacy, and education. A brand that could have arrived with a fixed specification arrived with a question instead — how TIME100 should feel in Kigali — and gave Cube the room to answer it. Cube pitched for the production and was appointed.
